Dr. Karim Abu El-Magd, the international surgeon and pioneer of intestinal transplantation, thanked the Egyptians, starting with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and passing through the donors on behalf of the child “Mustafa”, for saving his life by performing a complete digestive system transplant except the liver.

“Abu El-Magd” added, during an interview with the “Egypt Can” program, broadcast on the “DMC” channel, and presented by the journalist Ahmed Fayek, that he felt that “Mustafa” is the son of all of Egypt, not just his mother, continuing: “I thank everyone for their help to Mustafa, as a son of “The people of Egypt who need medical and health care.”

He continued: “I pray to God Almighty that this type of transplantation will exist in Egypt, and that the executive regulations for the transplantation of organs from newborns will be issued, especially since the law has been in place since 2010, and this journey will begin with the people, and for them to believe in this.”

Thousands need this operation

He pointed out that the success that happened to Mustafa is one of thousands of individuals in Egypt who need this agriculture.
